National Libraries Day - this Saturday

I was excited to get an email about the celebrations for national libraries day here in Reading.  In other parts of the country I imagine this will be marked by protests about closures, or as in Wokingham about privatisation (or whatever it is) of libraries.  In Reading we have a library service that not only we are proud of but we are committed to enhancing and improving.

If you aren't a member join on Saturday - there's a free prize draw.  If you are do what I do and go along to one of the events and borrow a book.  Our Whitley councillor's surgery is at the South Reading community centre (opposite Whitley library) so if you are going to the Whitley library coffee morning do drop in on us on your way or way back!
