Makes you sick...

... I'm off work with what is apparently swine flu (TBC by a swab sent off to a mysterious organisation called the 'respiratory virus unit') .

But sitting in my dressing gown after having checked my work emails I saw this story and it made me feel a lot worse. The BNP may claim to have changed and be interested in 'ordinary people' but I think this investigation by News of the World gives the lie to that.

Love music, hate racism, feel old

Went to an event raising money for love music-hate racism on Wednesday.

Some really enthusiastic bands and was I think quite a success. But it was loud. Far too loud for me. Not to mention the fact that I looked at someone drinking a beer with a shot dropped into it and almost 'tutted'.

But it's good to see the 'yuff' of today putting their efforts into a good cause. Even if it does involve screech metal. Which is apparently a genre of music...

...I think it's fair to say I'm officially an old lady.
